Itinerary
Day 1: Caesarea, Acre and Rosh Hanikra
Embark on a captivating journey through the coastal cities of Israel, starting our exploration as we head north from Tel Aviv and arrive at our first destination, Caesarea. Immerse yourself in the rich history of this ancient Roman port city, where remnants of a bygone era include a fascinating theater, hippodrome, and the hauntingly beautiful ruins of palaces, temples, and bathhouses. Our journey continues northward, leading us to the enchanting port city of Haifa. Here, marvel at the terraced Baha’i Gardens gracing the slopes of Mt. Carmel, while gaining insights into the Baha’i faith. Pushing on to the very border with Lebanon, our adventure unfolds amidst the sea caves of Rosh HaNikra. Delight in the opportunity to venture into cave chambers and tunnels, where the rhythmic crashing of waves against the rocks creates a mesmerizing symphony. As we head back south, our tour reaches the historic Crusader city of Acre. Explore the meticulously preserved Crusader fortress from the 12th century, discover Ottoman structures, and step into the echoes of history within a former Turkish and British Mandate citadel prison. Experience the magic of these coastal wonders, each site offering a unique glimpse into Israel’s rich tapestry of culture and heritage.
Day 2: Golan Heights
Embark on the captivating Golan Heights Tour as we venture north through the historic Plain of Armageddon and traverse Megiddo into the enchanting region of Galilee. Revel in the picturesque landscapes of rolling hills, expansive farmlands, lush vineyards, and the serene beauty of the Sea of Galilee. Our journey takes us across the Jordan River, ascending the Golan Heights through verdant countryside. Along the way, we encounter Hamat Gader, boasting hot springs once frequented by Romans and today cherished by modern spa enthusiasts. Ascending to the Shalom Observatory, the elevated vantage point treats us to breathtaking panoramas extending all the way to the Sea of Galilee. Delve into the rich history of Katzrin, where an excavated Jewish village from the Mishnah and Talmudic eras unfolds before us. Our exploration continues at Mt. Bental, where we uncover the remnants of Syrian bunkers and trenches captured by Israelis during the pivotal 1967 Six-Day War. This immersive journey promises a blend of history, natural beauty, and cultural exploration.
