Tower Of David

This amazing museum uses innovative and exciting technology to tell the stories of more than 3,000 years. The entrance for the site through the main entryway – Jaffa gate. The name “Tower of David” was first used for the Herodian tower in the 5th century CE by the Byzantine Christians, who believed the site to be the palace of King David. They borrowed the name “Tower of David” from the Song of Songs, attributed to Solomon, King David’s son, who wrote: “Thy neck is like the Tower of David built with turrets, whereon there hang a thousand shields, all the armor of the mighty men”

Main Activities

The Night Experiences: This is probably one of the best attractions in this site, The magical Jerusalem night, with the walls of the Tower of David and its impressive remains as a backdrop, sets the stage for the Night Experiences – two different and unique Sound and Light shows that transport the viewer through time and history.

Phasael Tower Observation Point: This spectacular observation point, is located at the top of Phasael Tower at a height of 777 meters above sea level, with 360° of Jerusalem.

A Bird’s Eye View of Jerusalem: this activity includes audio tour route and show to visitors how Jerusalem changed throughout the history. This tour also includes a spectacular 360 view of Jerusalem from the top of the Herodian Tower.

The Mystery of Herod’s Palace and the Kishle: Tour route, inviting visitors to embark on a fascinating journey into the city’s past, to revisit the great events and stories that shaped Jerusalem’s history
