Highlights
Full description
Embark on a personalized journey through the sacred city of Jerusalem with our private tour, designed to showcase its most profound highlights. Begin your day accompanied by a personal guide from either Mount Scopus or the Mount of Olives, where breathtaking views unfold across the Old City, Temple Mount, and the iconic Golden Dome of the Rock.
Experience the scenery from the very hilltop where Jesus stood two thousand years ago. Our next stop takes us to the serene Garden of Gethsemane and the adjacent Church of All Nations, adorned with a stunning golden mosaic facade. Within the church lies the Rock of Agony, a poignant site where Jesus is believed to have prayed on the eve of his crucifixion. Continuing our journey, we drive past Mount Moriah and alongside the Kidron Valley, revealing ancient Jewish tombs of monumental significance.
As we traverse alongside the 16th-century Old City walls, we enter through one of its ancient gates. Stroll through the Jewish Quarter until reaching the revered Western Wall (Wailing Wall or Kotel), a poignant site marking the last remnant of the Second Temple destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD.
Wander through the Muslim Quarter and enjoy leisure time at the vibrant Old City bazaar, a kaleidoscope of colors, characters, and unique shops. Proceed to the Christian Quarter, walking a portion of the Via Dolorosa, retracing Jesus' path to his crucifixion. Encounter several Stations of the Cross, each commemorating significant biblical moments. The Via Dolorosa leads us to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, a 4th-century basilica enshrining Golgotha, the site of Christ's crucifixion.
After a rejuvenating lunch, traverse the Jewish Quarter along the Byzantine Cardo, a colonnaded street now transformed into a lively shopping alley with local arts and crafts. Pass through the Armenian Quarter before exiting the Old City via the Zion Gate, heading to Mount Zion, home to the Tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper. Conclude your day with a scenic drive through Jerusalem's new neighborhoods, passing through the Valley of Gehenna.
Marvel at the President’s Residence and the Valley of the Cross, then pass by landmarks such as the Israel Museum, the Shrine of the Book, the Knesset (Israel's Parliament building), and the Supreme Court.
While our experts have crafted this itinerary, it serves as a mere suggestion. Customize your tour to experience even more of Jerusalem's enchantment, with options such as the City of David, the renowned Israel Museum, the Western Wall Tunnels, Jaffa Gate, and beyond (see FAQ section for details).
