Traverse through the Galilee’s enchanting landscape adorned with rolling hills, fertile farmlands, lush vineyards, and the serene beauty of the Sea of Galilee. Crossing the Jordan River, we ascend the Golan Heights, surrounded by lush countryside. Our journey includes a visit to Hamat Gader, a site boasting ancient hot springs utilized by Romans and cherished by contemporary spa enthusiasts. Continuing on, we reach the Shalom Observatory, offering breathtaking panoramic views extending all the way to the Sea of Galilee. In Katzrin, explore an excavated Jewish village hailing from the Mishnah and Talmudic eras. The adventure culminates at Mt. Bental, where we delve into the remnants of Syrian bunkers and trenches captured by Israelis during the transformative events of the 1967 Six-Day War.
Day 2: Nazareth, Capernaum and Sea of Galilee
Embark on a captivating journey commencing with a scenic drive along the coastal road, veering towards the Valley of Armageddon, offering panoramic views of Megiddo. Our route leads us past Mt. Precipice before reaching the enchanting city of Nazareth. Here, we explore the exquisite Church of Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph. Continuing our odyssey towards the serene Sea of Galilee, we traverse Cana, the site where Christ performed the miracle of turning water into wine. Beholding the Mt. of Beatitudes from afar, where the iconic Sermon on the Mount transpired, we make a poignant stop at Capernaum on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. In Tabgha, the Roman Catholic Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes awaits our exploration. Skirting the edges of Tiberias, nestled by the Sea of Galilee, our journey pauses at Yardenit, a potential baptismal site where John might have baptized Jesus in the River Jordan. As we venture back, the route includes a glimpse of Mt. Tabor, the sacred site of the Transfiguration, concluding our day filled with awe-inspiring wonders.
Day 3: Caesarea, Acre and Rosh Hanikra
Embark on a captivating journey through the coastal cities of Israel, starting our exploration just north of Tel Aviv in the ancient city of Caesarea. Our initial stop allows us to delve into the rich history of an ancient Roman port city, where remnants of a bygone era unfold before us—the theater, hippodrome, and the intriguing ruins of palaces, temples, and bathhouses. Our northward journey unfolds along the picturesque coast, leading us to the vibrant port city of Haifa. Here, the terraced Baha’i Gardens on Mt. Carmel beckon, offering a glimpse into the Baha’i faith. Our adventure continues to the very border of Israel with Lebanon, unveiling the mesmerizing sea caves of Rosh HaNikra. Immerse yourself in the cave chambers and tunnels, where the rhythmic crash of waves against the rocks creates a symphony of natural wonders. Heading southward once more, our tour brings us to the historic Crusader city of Acre. Explore the well-preserved Crusader fortress from the 12th century, witness the architectural legacy of the Ottomans, and step into the storied confines of a former Turkish and British Mandate citadel prison. This meticulously curated tour ensures an enchanting and educational experience at every turn.
Day 4: Masada and the Dead Sea
Embarking on a journey through southern Israel, our tour winds its way through the picturesque Judean Hills and past the historic Inn of the Good Samaritan. A momentary pause at sea level offers an unforgettable photo opportunity before we steadily descend beneath sea level, venturing towards the world-renowned Dead Sea. Our initial stop brings us to the awe-inspiring Masada, where a cable car whisks us to the summit plateau to explore the remnants of Herod’s 2,055-year-old palace fortress, showcasing remarkable structures such as palaces and a bathhouse. Continuing our exploration, the tour meanders past the desert oasis of Ein Gedi and Qumran, the very site where the ancient Dead Sea Scrolls were unearthed. The day concludes with leisurely moments on one of the tranquil Dead Sea beaches, providing you with the unique experience of floating effortlessly in the water, which boasts 8.6 times more salinity than the ocean, creating natural buoyancy. Enhance your day by indulging in the rejuvenating Dead Sea mud as a natural skin mask, while soaking up the warm embrace of the glorious Dead Sea sun.
Day 5: Jerusalem Old and New
We begin our journey with awe-inspiring panoramic views of Jerusalem from the pinnacle of Mount of Scopus. Descending the mount, we pass by the revered biblical sites of the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of All Nations, and the monumental Kidron Valley, home to significant Jewish tombs. Navigating through the Jewish Quarter, we explore the Cardo, a main street dating back to the Byzantine era. Our next stop is at the sacred Western Wall, where we pause to place a heartfelt prayer note between the ancient stones. Following the path of the Via Dolorosa, we arrive at the remarkable Church of the Holy Sepulchre, unveiling the poignant sites of Christ’s crucifixion and burial tomb. After a rejuvenating lunch break and a stroll through the vibrant Old City bazaar, our journey takes us to modern Jerusalem. Driving through the contemporary cityscape, we reach the poignant Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum.
