Highlights
Full description
Discover the captivating coastal cities of Caesarea, Rosh HaNikra, Haifa, and Acre on this unforgettable tour. Starting north of Tel Aviv, we'll pass charming beach resort cities like Herzilya and Natanya before reaching Caesarea. Explore the ancient wonders of Caesarea Maritima, an incredible Roman city constructed by King Herod, boasting a theater, hippodrome, temples, palaces, and more, many of which have been carefully excavated and preserved.
Continuing our journey, we'll traverse through Haifa, Israel's third-largest city, nestled on the slopes of Mount Carmel. Our Haifa stop includes the stunning Baha'i Gardens, featuring 19 meticulously landscaped terraces adorned with flowers, fountains, and statues. Learn about the Baha'i faith and the significance of these magnificent gardens from your knowledgeable guide.
Next, we'll reach the northernmost border, where Israel meets Lebanon, and marvel at the sea's powerful embrace of the white cliffs at Rosh HaNikra. Over countless years, nature has carved out a network of enchanting tunnels and caves within the rock, creating a mesmerizing turquoise spectacle as the white rock reflects onto the azure water. Today, visitors can descend to these caves via a convenient cable car ride.
As we begin our return journey southward, our tour pauses in the captivating Crusader City of Acre (Acco). Above ground, you'll encounter a bustling Ottoman-era city with a vibrant market and a bustling fishing harbor. Below the surface lies an impeccably preserved Crusader city from the 12th century, complete with formidable walls and a moat that even Napoleon couldn't conquer. Explore the Crusader relics, the Turkish citadel, and sites used during the British Mandate period.
Our tour concludes as we leave Acre and head south along the picturesque coast.
