Eilat Coral World Underwater Observatory

Eilat Underwater Observatory is a world-renowned marine station located in the Gulf of Eilat at the northern end of the Red Sea. Established in 1969, the observatory is renowned for its dazzling underwater panoramic view with more than 800 species of creatures living inside its incredible transparent tube. This living sea museum offers visitors a unique opportunity to observe some of nature’s most beautiful creatures and plants from up close. It provides educational programs for both adults and children along with marine workshops that explain more about water preservation, underwater biology and much more.

Overview of the Underwater Observatory

The Underwater Observatory Marine Park in Eilat offers visitors of all ages the chance to explore an incredible underwater paradise. Featuring a glass-fronted underwater observatory, guests can step into the middle of a vibrant ecosystem and see various species of fish, corals, crabs, sponges and other sea creatures up close. It’s an exciting way to experience the natural beauty of the region without getting wet!

Plan Your Visit

Before visiting, be sure to plan ahead. The Underwater Observatory is open daily from 9am – 5pm, and closed on major holidays. Advanced ticket purchases are required and all tickets must include a scheduled visit time, allowing for the observatory to remain uncrowded and safe at all times. Guests will also need to follow all safety rules while inside the observatory, including wearing face masks where required and social distancing whenever possible. Exploring the Marine Life

Once inside the underwater observatory, you’ll be able to explore the incredible coral Reef and its diverse marine life. On each visit, you can expect to see schools of colorful fish swimming in their natural habitats such as late-night predators like sharks and rays. The purpose-built observation windows provide an up-close experience – an amazing opportunity to view one earth’s most vibrant eco-systems filled with life!
