The Hermon Stream known as Banias is one of the prettiest streams in Israel. If you like to hike and even if not you have to go to this place. Located in the north of the Golan Heights. It includes an area in southern Mount Hermon. The site has the Banias Waterfall which is the biggest waterfall in Israel. Usually on weekend the park is very busy, because of that it nis recommended to come in mid-week or very early before it gets busy.
Trail Options:
Option A: Visit The Spring Area (Upper Entrance): Takes about 45 minutes for a distance of 1.5 Kilometers. The main attractions in this path are: Banias Springs, Watermill, Pan temple, Ancient Banias ruins
Option B: Visit The Waterfall Area (Lower Entrance): Takes about 45 minutes for a distance of 1.5 Kilometers The main attractions in this path are: Circular Hike to the Banias Falls and the “Hanging” bridge above the Banias Gorge.
Option C: Short Hike From The Springs To The Waterfall: takes about 1.5 hours for a distance of 3 Kilometers. The main attractions in this path are: Visit all the attractions mentioned above, plus a lovely 2 km walk along the Hermon (Banias) stream. Option D: Long Hike For The Springs To Moshav Shear Yashuv: takes about 3 hours for a distance of 7.5 Kilometers. In this hike, you get out of the main areas into the peaceful and less visited areas of the Banias. The main attractions in this path are:
