Itinerary
Day 1: Jerusalem Old and New
Embarking on our journey, we soak in the breathtaking panoramic views of Jerusalem atop the Mount of Scopus, a vantage point that sets the stage for a day filled with awe and discovery. As we descend the mount, our path leads us past the poignant biblical landmarks of the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of All Nations, and the Kidron Valley, where monumental Jewish tombs silently narrate their stories. In the heart of the Jewish Quarter, we marvel at the Cardo, an ancient Byzantine-era main street that whispers tales of history. Our pilgrimage pauses at the Western Wall, a sacred site where we take a moment to place a prayer note between the ancient stones, fostering a connection with the enduring spirit of this revered place. Following the path of the Via Dolorosa, we arrive at the resplendent Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where the profound significance of Christ’s crucifixion and burial tomb unfolds before us. A leisurely lunch break and a stroll through the bustling Old City bazaar precede our venture into new Jerusalem. Cruising through the modern cityscape, our destination is the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum, a poignant tribute preserving the memory of a dark chapter in history. Within its walls, authentic artifacts, original documents, compelling photos, and video testimonials of Holocaust survivors come together to weave a narrative that demands reflection and remembrance. This immersive tour promises a day brimming with cultural richness and historical depth, ensuring each moment leaves an indelible mark on our collective journey.
Day 2: Dead Sea Relaxation
Embark on this rejuvenating Dead Sea day trip to truly unwind and release all the built-up tension and stress. Our journey starts from Jerusalem, winding through the picturesque Judean Hills, passing the historic Inn of the Good Samaritan before heading southward. A brief pause allows for a photo opportunity at the marker indicating “sea level,” and then we proceed to the Dead Sea, situated at a remarkable 430 meters below sea level—the Earth’s lowest point. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to bask in the relaxation offered by one of the finest Dead Sea beaches. Revel in the sun, which boasts the lowest UVB rays on Earth, indulge in the mineral-rich Dead Sea mud, and take a dip in the sea. With water eight and a half times saltier than the ocean, floating effortlessly becomes a unique and buoyant experience. The Dead Sea’s environment, known for its natural health and beauty benefits, imparts a profound sense of well-being to all visitors.
